Designed for dedicated young performers who are ready to strengthen their acting and musical theatre performance skills, Spotlight Studio offers focused training in advanced duet scenes, musical numbers, and character work. Inspired by collegiate musical theatre training, performers will dive deeper into scene study, vocal interpretation, acting choices, and stage presence while working closely with scene partners.
This class is intended for experienced performers who are confident readers and are ready for a fast-paced rehearsal environment. Students should be prepared to memorize material independently and come ready to collaborate, take direction, and challenge themselves as artists.
For Ages: 8 - 12
Instructor: Parker Cropp
Dates & Time: 12 Sundays from 4:30-6:30PM plus Dress Rehearsal & Performance
Rehearsals - August 30; September 13, 20, 27; October 4, 11, 18, 25; November 1, 8, 15, 29
No class September 6 and November 22.
Dress Rehearsal - Friday, December 4 from 4:30-6:30PM
Performance - Saturday, December 5 from 2-3:30PM (Call Time is 1PM)
plus Hot Cocoa & Cookie Bar and an invitation to join us for Holiday Caroling in Old Town
Minimum of 6 performers/Max of 12
Prerequisite: Proficient reader with previous theatrical experience (e.g. Playcrafter Kids musical(s), two week summer camp, experience at other theater schools)
An enrollment form will be sent after registering.
Note: The 2-month plan will have a $5 administration fee on the next invoice.
