Yes! Playcrafter Kids Preschool is a licensed and insured childcare center that meets all state licensing requirements. Being licensed means we follow clear, structured protocols for health, safety, supervision, and emergency preparedness.
All staff members undergo required background checks and participate in ongoing professional development to ensure best practices in early childhood education, safety, and social-emotional care. Our building remains locked from the outside, with secure door-code access provided to enrolled families. We believe that behavior is communication. When a child is experiencing challenging moments, we use positive redirection and time-ins instead of time-outs to help them navigate big feelings and build self-regulation skills. Our goal is to support social-emotional growth by getting to the root of what a child is communicating and teaching problem-solving strategies rather than using isolation.
As a team, we collaborate to discuss observations, implement thoughtful, individualized strategies, and partner closely with families. By involving parents in the process, we create consistent, compassionate support that helps each child feel understood, confident, and successful.
-
We are inclusive and experienced supporting neurodiverse children. Our team collaborates with families to adapt activities and provide individualized support.

We have a friendly, perpetually calm school dog named Frankie who is phenomenal with kids and helps with emotional regulation, but we always prioritize every child's comfort. If a child is scared or hesitant, we will ensure Frankie is moved to a separate room so they can feel completely safe and at ease.

Absolutely! We welcome siblings to camps, theater classes, and programs in addition to preschool. We offer a School’s Out Day Camp when PSD is in session and the preschool may be open.
