Cabaret Kids: Create-A-Musical!
Is your child ready to take center stage—and help create the show, too?
In this exciting semester-long class, students will work alongside a theater teaching artist and professional musician to co-create and perform an original 20-minute musical from the ground up!
Each week, budding performers will dive into character-building, improvisation, movement, songwriting, and storytelling as they help shape the script, lyrics, and scenes. Along the way, they’ll build confidence, spark their creativity, and learn what it takes to bring an original show to life.
🎭 Final Performance: All students will perform their original musical at Cabaret Kids LIVE on Saturday, December 6th—a performance you won’t want to miss!
Includes:
- 12 classes plus 1 dress rehearsal and 1 performance
- Work with 2 professional instructors in every class
- Playcrafter Kids t-shirt or book for returning performers
- Simple costumes and props

Where: Playcrafter Kids @ 1815 Yorktown Avenue (Foothills Unitarian Church); Fort Collins, CO
Ages: 7-12
Minimum of 8 performers. Max of 16.
Class dates: September 9, 16, 23, 30; October 7, 14, 21, 28; November 4, 11, 18; December 2 (No class on November 25)
Dress Rehearsal: Friday, December 5 @ 4:30-6:30 PM
Performance: Saturday, December 6 @ 2 PM
Bonus!: Hot Cocoa & Cookie Reception after the performance with an invitation to carol with the Playcrafter Kids community in Old Town starting at 4:30 PM.
An enrollment form will be sent after registering.
Note: The 2-month plan will have a $10 administration fee on the next invoice.
